Basim Elkarra, Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (Sacramento Valley Office) was raised in a Muslim family and self described "as American as apple pie." He says Catholic school allowed him to experience different cultures and religions at a young age.  With CAIR, America's largest Islamic civil liberties group, Basim meets with media and government  and holds diversity trainings for corporations and law enforcement.  He also runs a youth leadership program and maintains a prominent voice in the region's civil rights and interfaith community.

The presentation will be at Fresh Mediterranean Restaurant and will start at 3:30 pm with appetizers.  Dinner will follow.  $ 18 includes dinner, tax and tip.

Please register before June 1st so we have an accurate count for the restaurant.  You can register online and pay at the door if you like (or mail a check or pay by PayPal).
