Conference Registration

Registration is now open. Each person must register separately.  The Gala Dinner is not included in the registration cost.

After your registration is submitted, you will get a message giving instructions on how to pay on-line.  You can also send a check to:

You will have opportunities to try many dining options in the area from fast food to upscale dining - all in a 5 mile radius.  Many are within easy walking distance of the hotel.  Maps and lists will be available on-site.  Click here to see a list of dining options.


All conference activities will take place at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites9175 W. Stockton Blvd. Elk Grove, CA 95758.  1(916) 478-9000 or visit the website here. 

A limited number of standard rooms for $149 per night have been allocated for the conference.  Call 916-478-9000 for reservations.  Use the code "FFI". Some suites are also available.  Breakfast and WIFI are included in the room charge.  Parking is free and plentiful.

Please note there is another Holiday Inn Express in Elk Grove so be sure to check the address.

There are many hotels in Sacramento, 15 miles north.

Gala Dinner

The conference concludes with a Gala Cinque de Mayo Dinner on Saturday evening at 6:30 pm.  The meal will feature a South of the Border buffet including meat and vegetarian entrees.  A special presentation by FF members on a once-in-a-lifetime 3 year odyssey throughout the South Pacific will be featured.  

No host cocktails will be available from 5 pm.  Please note that $1 drink tickets will be available at the reception/information table during the conference.  All bar sales are by ticket only.  Beer - 4 tickets, wine - 5 tickets, limited mixed drinks - 6 tickets, soda - 1 ticket.  Corkage fee - 10 tickets. 

Please wear your "finds" from around the world. A "Parade" of costumes is planned.

When you register for the conference, you can indicate if you are interested in a home stay.  If so, you will be sent additional information on the dates, program and how to contact the club directly.  

Keynote Speaker

Joy Justus has been working with refugees through World Relief since 2012. She initially spent two years in Indonesia working in an immigration detention center providing assist-ance to refugees awaiting United Nations refugee processing. Upon moving back to the United States in 2014, she began working with local refugee resettlement through World Relief Sacramento. Her role is to mobilize the local community and church to welcome and develop relationships with refugees and immigrants. Joy holds a M.A. in Theology and Biblical Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary and a B.A. in Religious Studies from UC Berkeley.

If making payment on the FFI website, go to the Journey Payments page and follow these steps:

  1. Enter the amount of payment in the box.
  2. Click on <Add to Cart>.
  3. On the next page, click on <Proceed to Checkout>.
  4. Complete Billing Details.
  5. The Journey number is 14359.
  6. The Journey Name is Western Regional Conference.
  7. The shaded payment box gives you a choice of paying by credit card (3% fee added) or by e-check.  Check your preferred payment type, enter the data required and click on <Place Order>.

The closest airport to Elk Grove is the Sacramento International Airport (SMF).  There are many daily flights in and out of Sacramento by various airlines.  The Airport is about 25 miles from the Conference site - all freeway.  If you will need transportation from the airport, we can arrange it.  For transportation please send an email with your flight number, date and time of arrival to Sandee Lee of the Conference Committee.  Cost is a bargain $10 per person per ride to help defray the costs for the 50 mile roundtrip our volunteer drivers will be making.

Sacramento is also served by AMTRAK.  There are daily trains from the San Francisco Bay Area, one from Oregon and another from Southern California.  The AMTRAK station is about 15 miles from the Conference site.  If you will need transportation from the AMTRAK station, we can arrange it. For transportation please send an email with your train number, date and time  of arrival to Sandee Lee of the Conference Committee.  It is a bargain $10 per person per ride to help defray the costs for the roundtrip our volunteer drivers will be making.

If traveling by car, the hotel is located at the Bond Rd/Laguna Blvd. exit of CA Highway 99.  This exit is between Sacramento (15 miles north) and Stockton (38 miles south)  The hotel is located on the northwest corner of the interchange.  Parking is plentiful and free.

Welcome Reception

Arriving on Thursday?  Please come to a Welcome Reception hosted by the Sacramento FF club immediately following the President's Meeting on Thursday, May 3 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Foyer of the Lodi Room.  

No host beer and wine will be available from 5 pm.  Please note that $1 drink tickets will be available at the reception/information table during the conference.  All bar sales are by ticket only.  Beer - 4 tickets, wine - 5 tickets, and soda - 1 ticket.
