We have a special treat for 40 members in April. Lynn Meyer has arranged with the ladies from the Urasenke Foundation out of San Francisco to provide a class in the Art of Chanoyu, or tea ceremony. It will be performed at the California State University Sacramento.
Several of our members experienced the tea ceremony when we had the Sapporo Japan group here last year and they said it was lovely.
If we can arrange it, we'll go to a Japanese restaurant before the ceremony.
There is only room for 40 so sign up early. We will email all those who signed up with the exact meeting spot at CSUS and name of the restaurant, if we can find one for 40 near there!
