As you’ll learn in our January 12 General Meeting, Chinese New Year is January 25, 2020, the year of the Rat. To celebrate the new year, we are having a special “Let’s Eat Out” family style brunch gathering on Sunday, January 19th.
We will be eating Dim Sum. Dim sum is literally translated to mean “touch the heart”. Traditionally, the small plates of Chinese cuisine are presented on mobile carts to seated patrons. Similar to the way that the Spanish eat tapas, the dishes are shared among family and friends. Typically, dim sum is consumed during brunch hours — late morning to lunchtime.
We will be seated at tables that generally hold 8-10 people at each table. Individuals at each table will share the cost of the table’s bill based on the number of dishes consumed.
Join us! We’ll need to be there promptly at 10:30 AM because it gets crowded! And you need to register or you won’t have a seat!
