Each month we will have a presentation of some entertaining and/or useful information. It's a great time to socialize with other members of our club so we hope you'll join us! This month will be:
Travel for Genealogy Research with Helen Flach
Our program for February will be Travel for Genealogy Research, by Helen Flach. Have you thought about combining your love of travel with your research about your family’s origins? Using examples from her own family-history travels, Helen will show how to prepare for “going home to a place you’ve never been before.” Whether it is combing libraries and historical archives, sleuthing out locations where your family lived and worked and were buried, connecting yourself to events in American history, or just getting the feel of their country of origin, seeking your ancestors through travel will give you a new perspective on the places and people that are your own personal history.
There will also be opportunities for you to briefly share your experiences in tracing your family story through travel.
