In-person event! Many of us have been going through closets and have really nice things that we don't use anymore. Perfect! Bring it to a swap stuff party!! What is a Swap Stuff Party?
Here's how the game works. Each donated item will have a corresponding bag for a drawing. You may bring up to three items to swap. If you bring 3 items, you get 3 tickets. Drop your tickets in the bag of any item you like. Every item will have a drawing to determine the winner. Want to increase your chances? There will be an opportunity to purchase additional tickets. Any money that is raised will be donated to a non-profit that supports marginalized children in Kampala, Uganda.
What kinds of items can you bring to swap? The photo shows a few examples of items appropriate for the swap party. You can bring decorator items, kitchen gadgets, jewelry, purses, art and more! Everything needs to be in very good to excellent condition. If we have any items left over, they will be donated to a local thrift store that supports aged-out foster youth.
Masks are required in the clubhouse and we will be social distancing. There is space for up to 25 FF women to participate. *Men can attend, but there will not be any items specifically for men. Several non-Friendship Force women and park residents will be participating in the event, so this will be a great way to spread the word about our organization while reconnecting with friends.
Potluck lunch will include appetizers and dessert. Finger food only please. Last Name begins with A - L: Please bring an appetizer to share. Last Name begins with M-Z: Please bring a dessert to share.
