BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Sacramento invites you with your family & friends to come celebrate and enjoy Kite Festival. A Mandir is a sacred Hindu place of worship. You can learn more by clicking here.
Several of our members have joined in this festival in the past. They have kites and strings you can purchase and everyone flies them in front of the temple. There are food stalls with very tasty treats. You can go into the temple and they will give you a tour and discuss their religion if you like, but it's not required.
Event Timings:
11am to 4pm - Kite Flying (Outdoor) in the Mandir Parking Lot
1pm to 3pm - Food Stalls (Outdoor) in the Mandir Parking Lot
