Join us to tidy up the Sister Cities Friendship Garden!
The Sacramento Friendship Force joined the Sister Cities organization a number of years ago to plant trees in the South Natomas Community Center park. There was one tree for each Sister City and one tree for the Friendship Force. It's time again to do some weeding and cleanup on the Friendship Garden. If you can help for an hour or more on Saturday April 16th, please register here.
The City will provide the tools needed, such as mulch, wheelbarrows, rakes, shovels, and gloves. The City’s Volunteer Coordinator will be working right alongside everyone. He will introduce himself, explain what we are doing and give clear instructions on how to properly use all the tools. He will be available throughout the event if anyone has questions or needs further assistance.
Each volunteer will have to sign the liability waiver, https://forms.office.com/g/4Tgh0UgXqk?origin=lprLink. Of course, it is recommended that all volunteers wear closed toe shoes, bring a reusable water bottle, and sun protection.
I hope you can join us!
