Let's celebrate the holiday season together
Holidays are a time for giving! At the Holiday Party, we will have the opportunity to make a cash/check donation to Starting Point, a nonprofit organization based in Sacramento that is committed to supporting refugee children. Since 2017, this volunteer-run organization has assisted 5500+ refugee children from around the world with welcome baskets, backpacks and school supplies, clothing, and scholarships. We will invite a representative of Starting Point to come to our January meeting to accept the donations.
Help make this a festive occasion by wearing or bringing something you have acquired in your travels that represents a holiday celebration or just represents another culture.
This is our final event for the year when we will hear a recap of the year and a preview of the coming year. We'll have a buffet of quiches, chicken salad, pasta salad, vegetable salad, charcuterie board, mini-croissant sandwiches and cake with iced tea, coffee, and soft drinks. If you bring your own wine, there is a $5 corkage fee.
