Heath Ceramics Factory Tour

Come see the Sausalito working factory tour.  Since 1959, each and every piece of the dinnerware - start-to-finish- is made here by a team of 40 craftspeople.  Designed in 1959 by Marquis & Stoller in collaboration with Edith & Brian Heath, the building’s light-filled courtyard, showroom and sweeping semi-circle factory, emanate the values: timeless, resourceful, human-scale, and a marriage of craft and design.  Please note:  When visiting this factory, you will need to wear closed toe shoes and will be provided safety glasses.  This is a working factory environment. The tour is free. For more information visit their website.

After the tour, lunch is available nearby (no host), followed by either or both of these sites that are very close to the showroom.

San Francisco Bay Model, designed by the Army Corps of Engineers to illustrate how water moves through the SF Bay.  It is free.  It is half a mile from the Heath factory and is open 9 am - 4 pm. For more information visit their website.

Register here or RSVP to Emily Hopkins, and please include your city and zip code to organize carpools.
