Discover Davis with Friendship Force
Meeting place: Hattie Weber Museum, 445 C St.
Davis
The Hattie Weber Museum features exhibits depicting the history and heritage of Davis and the surrounding area.
The Farmers market is held each Saturday in Central Park in downtown Davis, and it is possible to buy lunch food there. The address for the Farmers market is 301 C St in Davis. The plan is to buy lunch downtown and enjoy a LEO (Let's Eat Out) together.
On-street parking is free, but hard to find nearby on market days. People can also park in lots located across Russell Blvd (which is just north of Central Park) at the schools administrative office, and/or in a lot behind Davis City Hall. If you have a problem finding parking, you can enter the USDA parking structure at 4th and G across from Ace Hardware pets and garden entrance on 4th.
After we have lunch and walk around downtown Davis, we'll get back into our cars and drive to the Manetti Shrem Museum of Art on the UC Davis campus. There's lots of free parking next to the museum.
Access to return to I-80 is quick and easy from the art museum.
Note: the UCD Arboretum is under construction and will not be a part of this outing.
Guests are welcome.
