       Honored Elders Day 2019

Hosted by California State Indian Museum

The 42nd Gathering of Honored Elders.

It is our honor to acknowledge California’s Native American Elders via this event held each year on the park grounds of the State Indian Museum.

We recognize, with highest regard, your perseverance in sharing, teaching, and otherwise carrying forward the traditions of your people. It is through your efforts that Native youth learn about their heritage, others learn the truthful history and experience of Native people in California, and California Indian culture remains dynamic and alive for future generations.

This event is FREE an open to the public. Come watch the dancers, eat an Indian taco, or shop from Native vendors. Please call (916) 445-8115 for more information.
