Our Sacramento Friendship Force will be having a guided tour of the Maidu Museum in Roseville on Friday, March 18 at 11:00 am. The one hour tour will be half inside the building and half outside on its property. The cost is $5 per person which includes museum admission and the tour. We need at least 10 people, due to a minimum charge of $50, and can go as high as 35 attendees.
This will be an excellent precursor to our talk on March 27 by Cheewa James. It is a different tribe, but still helps us understand the indigenous peoples of what is now California.
You will need to register here, ahead of time, before March 16th, and they recommend car pooling.
After the tour attendees can decide in small or large groups to do a Let’s Eat Out. Four possible nearby ethnic restaurants are listed below, but many others are in the area.
Chicha Peruvian Kitchen at Bel Air 1079 Sunrise Blvd $$ 2 miles away
Falafel Corner 4060 Douglas Blvd Suite #105 $ 1.1miles away
Khun Suda Thai Cuisine 1825 Douglas Blvd. $$ 1.5 miles away
Mehfil Indian Restaurant 1605 Douglas Blvd. $ 1.8 miles away
Many thanks to Nancy Sinnwell for organizing this event!!
