CCCL volunteer and Climate Ambassador, Kathy Dodson will lead an interactive presentation using the En-ROADS climate solutions simulator, developed by MIT Sloan and Climate Interactive. Kathy Dodson is a Physical Therapist with a Masters in Public Health and, as a Climate Ambassador for Climate Interactive, has led more than 20 presentations on the En-ROADS simulator.
Have you ever wondered which actions are most effective to address climate change? Would driving electric vehicles solve climate change? How about planting a trillion trees? Or replacing fossil fuels with solar and wind farms? Find out which actions are the most effective in addressing climate change by using the En-ROADS climate simulator. Kathy will use En-ROADS, to show how various climate solutions, say carbon price, or electrification, or planting trees, affect outcomes, such as temperature.
En-ROADS has been a critical tool for talking with members of Congress about climate change solutions. It allows the participants to use different methods to reduce emissions and explore the impact of policies that will help limit global warming to no more than 2°C (3.6°F) through 2100 with the goal of avoiding irreversible damage to the environment, global economy, and public health.
